I’m Isabella Littleford—a fashion industry veteran who’s spent years studying the balance of couture and comfort.

Backed by 10+ years in style and design, I’ve had the privilege of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and collaborating with some of the most visionary designers in the world. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that perfectly combines a distressed, lived-in vibe with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.

Whether you’re a die-hard sneaker collector or simply looking to inject a bit of chic into your wardrobe, I’m here to help you understand the appeal with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!

Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

So I’m breaking down a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as how to grab them for less, just ahead! Also, if you’re looking for more of my recent reviews, have a scroll through my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and review of my Dudley Stephens fleece!

Where were you able to get your pair?

I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal greygooseshoes.com going on.

Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .

What’s the going rate?

I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.

You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their design features.

Are they true to size?

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.

Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.

How comfy are they?

Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..

How durable are they?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

Do they feel better than other shoes?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.

Would you buy again?

Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also go with everything.

Discount sources?

Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.

  • GGoose.org – the spot where I bought my pair!
  • Gilt – it’s free to sign up!
  • Vestiaire Collection – it seems they’re giving $50 off your first app order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
  • The Real Real – awesome prices on new or barely used Golden Goose shoes
  • Ebay – even more fantastic deals on lightly used pairs of Golden Goose shoes
  • @likeabandit – she highlights lots of GG deals on her Instagram stories, so be sure to watch for them

Where can I find Golden Goose sneakers?

Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!

Placed my order on April 28th and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus

What’s the going rate?

When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid just under $390, but their regular price is over $500.

These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400–$1,700, depending on how embellished they are.

Are they true to size?

I found them to fit true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up

Is the comfort worth it?

Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in.

How do they perform over time?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.

Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
